Feel-good stories about the end of the world.

Based in Sheffield, UK, I'm a screenwriter with a background in climate change and sustainable cities.

My work explores family - whether chosen or biological - identity, and justice through fresh, character-driven stories. I’m drawn to urgent themes - climate change, activism, mental health - but always in ways that are funny, empathetic, and accessible. My work often sits where drama and comedy collide, reflecting and challenging contemporary British life.

I’m fascinated by perception and its limits: what happens when our senses, memories, or biases fail us? That question often drives my stories.

Blacklist

PARADISE LOAF: “has a wonderful mix of drama and humor. It's the rare script in which it lands all of its emotional beats... The script is not only highly creative, but it manages to also be fairly unique, which is going to help it stand out from the crowd. This would be an easy film to market”

Academy Nicholl Fellowship

CONCERTO: “The voice is quite delightful... The ending feels triumphant... it destroyed me! The description of [Helen's] playing is rhapsodic and magical”

Channel 4

PROJECT SUNSHINE: “Nick has the rare ability of making his expertise accessible and he has done that [here] brilliantly... We love the uplifting, non-preachy tone and relatable characters.”
